Success Stories
THE STORY OF: ROBERT JONES.
The Day Grace Found Me
Seven years ago, I wasn’t searching for a new life. I was just trying to survive the one I had left.
Pain had become familiar—so familiar that I stopped questioning it. Loss, trauma, regret… they weren’t moments anymore. They were part of me. I woke up with them, carried them through the day, and laid down with them at night.
At some point, I stopped believing things could change.
And my faith… it hadn’t disappeared—but it had gone quiet. Distant. Like something I once knew but couldn’t quite reach anymore.
Then I met David.
No big moment. No sign from the sky. Just two lives crossing in what looked like an ordinary day.
But it wasn’t ordinary.
Because he didn’t see what the world saw when they looked at me. He didn’t see the damage. He didn’t see the mistakes. He didn’t see a man who had fallen too far.
He saw someone worth investing in.
He told me about Home Safe Home Inc. — not like it was a business, but like it was a mission. A place where people who had been pushed down by life could stand again. A place built on something rare… real compassion.
And then he offered me something I didn’t think I deserved.
A chance.
He had a house—one that needed a complete rebuild. And I mean everything. It was stripped down, worn out, and forgotten.
In many ways, it was a reflection of me.
The offer was simple: live there, help rebuild it, and together we would turn it into something meaningful—an Airbnb that I would help manage.
I wish I could say I jumped at it.
I didn’t.
Because when you’ve been broken long enough, even hope feels dangerous.
But David didn’t walk away.
He stayed.
He believed.
And because of that… I took the first step.
I picked up a tool.
Then another.
Then another.
And somewhere between the dust, the sweat, the long days, and the quiet nights… something started to happen.
That house wasn’t the only thing being rebuilt.
Every wall we repaired felt like a piece of me being put back together. Every room we brought back to life reminded me that maybe—just maybe—I wasn’t beyond repair either.
I wasn’t just working.
I was healing.
And in the middle of all of it… my faith came back.
Not all at once. Not in some dramatic moment. But slowly. Steadily. Like a light breaking through cracks I didn’t even know were there.
I began to feel something I hadn’t felt in a long time—God’s presence. Not as a distant idea, but as something real, something guiding me forward.
That house became something beautiful.
But what it did inside me… that’s what changed everything.
Because from that moment on, I didn’t just survive anymore.
I started becoming.
Over the past seven years, I have walked a path I once believed was closed to me forever.
I went back to school.
I earned my degree in criminal psychology.
I pushed forward into graduate school, working toward becoming a licensed mental health counselor.
I became certified in areas designed to help others heal.
But more than that… I found my purpose.
I became an author.
I’ve written three books, each one carrying pieces of my story, my pain, my faith, and my healing. Words that were once trapped inside me are now reaching others who feel lost, broken, or alone.
And from that same place of purpose, I started something even bigger—
Unbreakable
Not just a name.
Not just a brand.
A message.
A way of life.
A calling to reach people who believe they’re too far gone and remind them that they’re not.
That no matter what they’ve been through, they can rise, rebuild, and stand stronger than before.
The Airbnb we built still stands as a reminder.
Not just of hard work.
But of what’s possible.
Because that house… was never just a house.
It was proof.
Proof that broken things can be rebuilt.
Proof that people can change.
Proof that Home Safe Home Inc. is not just an idea—it’s real.
It works.
I know because I am standing here today as evidence of it.
There were days I wanted to quit.
Days when the past came rushing back so hard I thought it would take me under again.
Days when doubt was louder than faith.
But I didn’t quit.
Because David didn’t quit on me.
And God never left me.
Today, I stand as a different man.
Not because my past disappeared—but because it no longer defines me.
I stand with faith where there was once fear.
With purpose where there was once emptiness.
With strength where there was once survival.
And I know this truth with everything I am:
I did the work…
but I did not walk this path alone.
David gave me more than an opportunity.
He gave me a starting point when I had none.
He gave me belief when I had lost it.
He gave me a chance to rebuild a home… and in doing so, helped me rebuild my life.
That meeting seven years ago wasn’t chance.
It was grace.
And if there is one thing I will carry for the rest of my life, it is this:
“Sometimes the greatest act of love is simply refusing to give up on someone.”
Home Safe Home Inc. exists to do exactly that.
And I am living proof…
that it works.
